The 8th Micronesian Games are being held over 10 days in Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia. The Games commenced with the Opening Ceremony on Sunday 19th July and will conclude with the Closing Ceremony on Wednesday 29th July.
Ten Micronesian Countries (Marshall Is; Nauru; Kiribati; Kosrae; Chuuk; Guam; Northern Mariana Is; Yap; Palau and Pohnpei) are competing in 13 events (Athletics; Baseball; Basketball; Outrigger Canoe Racing; Softball; Micronesia All-Around; Spearfishing; Surfing; Table Tennis; Tennis; Volleyball; Weightlifting; Wrestling).
