After initially being scheduled for July 25 to August 5, 2022, the competition was originally delayed a year because of challenges posed by the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/COVID-19_pandemic\">COVID-19 pandemic<\/a>, including finishing the construction of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/New_Marshall_Islands_Stadium\">New Marshall Islands Stadium<\/a>.&nbsp;The Games were held from June 15-24, 2024.
