The Oceania Open Junior Championships concluded in Lautoka, Fiji with Carol Lee (NMI) the best of the Pacific Oceania players being runner-up in both the Girls Singles and Doubles.<\/p>\n
In the Girls Singles Final she was beaten by Elle Christensen (USA) 6-2, 6-3. Three other Pacific players reached the 3rd round, Georjemah Row (SI), Maria Heras (NMI) and Patricia Apisah (PNG). In the Girl’s Doubles partnering with Maxine Ng (SIN),\u00a0Carol\u00a0Lee\/Maxine Ng\u00a0lost the final to the Japanese pairing of Ikumi Yamazaki\/Hikaru Yoshikawa 6-3,6-3.<\/p>\n
The Boy’s Singles was won by Daiki Yoshimura (JPN)who beat Han-Chih Lin (TPE) in the final 7-5,7-5. The only Pacific player to advance to the 3rd round was Clement Mainguy (VAN).<\/p>\n
