Papua New Guinea are guaranteed a Gold and Silver medal in the Mixed Doubles following the semi-finals today. 5th seeds Matthew Stubbings\/Violet Apisah (PNG) today easily beat the team of Julien Delaplane\/Lindsey Nekiriai (CAL) 6-3, 6-2 and will pay their team members, 2nd seeds, Mark Gibbons\/Abigail Tere-Apisah (PNG) in the GOLD\/SILVER Medal Match Final. They were too strong in the other semi-final in beating the 3rd seeds, Guillaume Monot\/Yaelle Honakoko (CAL) 6-3, 6-3. Four of the top 5 seeds will contest the Men’s Singles Semi-Finals tomorrow with #1 seed, Nikolas N’Godrela (CAL)\u00a0playing 4th seed Heve Kelley (TAH) in one semi-final and the # 3 seed, Cyril Jacobe (VAN) playing 5th seed, Julien Delaplane (CAL) in the other semi-final. Jacobe came from a set down to beat Guillaume Monot (CAL) 4-6,6-4,6-1 whilst Julien Delaplane was too strong beating William O’Connell (FIJ) 7-5,6-3.
