The events were based at three venues during the week with all the finals being brought back to the \u201chome\u201d of Guam Tennis, the Rick Ninete Tennis Centre. O<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria; font-size: medium;\">ver\u00a050 players from Guam, Saipan, Federated States of Micronesia and Palau contested the event.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.oceaniatennis.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_0538.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"IMG_0538\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oceaniatennis.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_0538-224x300.jpg\" width=\"224\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria; font-size: medium;\">Having\u00a03 separate venues made the organisation of the event smoother for the parents, players and coaches as each venue was host to one age group. This also meant that if one venue finished their schedule matches earlier, players could choose to finish their matches at another venue meaning that throughout the week everyone was able to enjoy their evenings and rest up before the next day as matches were generally finished by 5pm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria; font-size: medium;\">The first\u00a03 days consisted of the round robin play-off draws to decide the placing draws for the rest of the week. Matches were contested well and it was great to see players get behind their nations and support their teammates; this year was to be the first year that the Nations Leader board was introduced. B<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria; font-size: medium;\">y midweek it was evident that Saipan were becoming very dominant in all the events however it was great to see that players from the other nations did not let them have it all their way, particularly in the older age groups.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.oceaniatennis.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_0546.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"IMG_0546\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oceaniatennis.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_0546-224x300.jpg\" width=\"224\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria; font-size: medium;\">Finals day on Saturday was not only incorporating the actual finals but also the play off places for3rd and\u00a04th as placing\u00a03rd would give the player that all important invite to represent the North Pacific Team in the Pacific Oceania Junior Championships that would be held in Fiji in August.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Cambria; font-size: medium;\">The scheduling of these matches as well as the doubles matches meant that the finals day was well attended as was the prize giving ceremony that was presided over by Guam Tennis Federation President Torgun Smith and Tournament Director Tom Camacho.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.oceaniatennis.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_0586.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"IMG_0586\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oceaniatennis.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_0586-300x224.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;
