World Tennis Day 2014 will be held on Monday 03 March 2014 and will be centred around a series of high profile Showdown events around the world, including the well-established BNP Paribas Showdown in New York\u2019s Madison Square Garden, a new event the World Tennis Day Showdown with the Financial Times, at London\u2019s Earls Court Arena Two, and at least one Showdown planned for Asia. Each of the events, organised by the promoter Star Games, will feature current and former professionals together with demonstrations organised in conjunction with the events, linked to the ITF Tennis Play and Stay campaign, aimed at increasing tennis participation.<\/p>\n
In 2013 on the inaugural World Tennis Day\u00a055 nations engaged. the ITF want to encourage all Associations to support next year\u2019s event on 03 March 2014 by engaging in the celebrations with your own grassroots and club development initiatives to attract new participants to the sport or to use the day to promote tennis participation activities that will be taking place later in the year.<\/p>\n
